Having spent almost 20 years as a mainstream news journalist, and although she still frequently works in that field, Clare’s post-graduate diploma in Theology has re-inforced her interest in that area. Clare has just begun a part-time MA in Pastoral Theology at London University's Heythrop College - specialising in mental health, ethics and spirituality.

Her professional work Is beginning to reflect this: she has presented and produced programmes looking at faith and mental health for BBC world service religion, she hosts Radio Berkshire’s Sunday morning faith programme, and writes for the Oxford Church Diocesan Newspaper.

Clare’s diploma specialised in anthropology, Islam and Christian Ethics. Her thesis explored 'story' in Job - why do bad things happen to good people ?

Clare has a Christian faith, although it has been battered about by life: and has written a book on the subject of addiction and relationships. Her next book on recovering from shame has been picked up by Hodder and Stoughton.
